Cybernet's medical touch screen monitors are 75/100mm VESA mount compatible, allowing you to place these units virtually anywhere. They are a perfect compliment to a medical cart and the HDMI port allows them to pair effortlessly with mini rugged PCs or thin client PCs.
Pair this medical LCD monitor with a Cybernet medical grade computer to enjoy dual display support as well.
Unlike consumer grade monitors, Cybernet's medical monitors are engineered for the rigors of 24/7 hospital use and won't need frequent repair and replacement common with other monitors.
A medical touch screen monitor has to be fit for near-patient use in a number of ways. Medical monitors are obviously used in close proximity to other equipment, which is in turn attached to or near patients. An electrical short can cause obvious damage, but even something like unshielded electromagnetic radiation could interfere with other devices like pacemakers and artificial lungs.
Just like our medical panel PCs, our medical LCD monitors have been Global UL/cUL 60601-1 & IEC 60601-1-2 4th Edition certified. They have gone through rigorous testing to be sure that they are safe for near-patient use and do not pose radiation or electrical risks to patients or providers.
An optional embedded privacy filter fits behind the touch glass meaning you never have to replace stick-on filters again. This is ideal for maintaining the privacy of medical records in open, high traffic areas and for staying in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
The monitor itself also has a privacy button, meaning clinicians can turn off the screen, without turning off the power, allowing them to temporarily walk away without leaving valuable private information in plain view.

One of the biggest complaints hospital IT departments have is their monitors fail every few months. That happens for various reasons. One of the biggest reasons is disinfectants and cleaners get through to the internals and ruin the components. Cybernet's products are engineered to withstand harsh chemicals and any liquid damage by having a front bezel with IP65 rating and going through thorough testing.
The total cost of ownership for a CyberMed PX monitor ends up being much less than its consumer grade equivalent once you factor in the lost revenues from a workstation that is down, sending IT staff to repair the unit, and the cost of a replacement monitor.
As we discussed above, having a medically certified and antimicrobial* medical touch screen monitor is important to protect the monitor from degradation or deterioration. In addition to that, the monitors need to be constantly cleaned and sprayed down with harsh chemicals. That's why they should be rated IP65 to withstand those conditions.
Since monitors can be mounted on carts, in rooms, and in various places around the hospital, having a variety of mounting options is always helpful. For ease of viewing in high brightness environments, anti-glare filters are recommended. To comply with HIPAA regulations, hospitals need to protect patient's information and sensitive data. That's why a privacy filter is usually a great addition to the monitors.
